Freedom of information, data protection and confidentiality
The Freedom of Information Act 2000 gives the public a right of access to any information held by a public authority, in this case The Executive Office (‘the Department’). This includes access to information provided in response to a consultation exercise.
Responses will be published following the completion of this process. If you would prefer your response to be treated as confidential, please let us know, stating your reasons clearly. Any automatic confidentiality disclaimer generated by your IT system will be taken to apply only to information in your response for which confidentiality has been specifically requested.
If a request is made to disclose responses under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, we will take any requests for confidentiality into account. However, confidentiality cannot be guaranteed.
We will handle any personal data provided during the consultation in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
